The Problem with Your Organic Instagram Following

Due to changes in the Facebook and Instagram algorithms, a majority of your followers are NOT regularly seeing your content...⠀

That means if you have built an organic following of 5,000, only about 250 of your fans are seeing your posts and stories on a regular basis. This is because if a fan hasn't engaged with your content in a while (e.g., they haven't like, commented, or saved a post), then FB & IG stops serving up your content to their feeds. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's frustrating, I know. Growing organically takes A LOT of work and it can be unpredictable.

So what can you do?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Post regularly and consistently. You can use free scheduling tools like Planoly or Later to make life a little easier.⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ask your community which topics they are most curious about and develop content that answers those questions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Publish user-generated content of your fans using your products.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Dabble in new features such as Reels to expand your reach into new audiences.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Run paid advertising! This is huge. Reach new audiences, build lookalike audiences based on your current following, AND get in front of your fans that haven't engaged with your content in a while. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
